Honeybee Day! Jamaa Journal (Issue 152)

I'm back! Today, I am going to be sharing the updates of Jamaa! Now, this Issue of Jamaa Journal is about a week old so you guys probably already know about it. Regardless, I want to talk about it!

Apparently, tomorrow is National Honeybee Day! I'm actually quite excited for this. Maybe AJ will have a special event going on? Who knows! New accessories and den items are also introduced to AJ as this holiday occurs.

There are now pet honeybees!!! Plus, they are for NONMEMBERS!! This has got to be one of Animal Jam's best updates ever. I mean, we had the hamsters before, but now we have FLYING pets for nonmembers! What if we get nonmember flying animals?

Yet again, there's another den item contest! You have three choices: Glitchy Gear, Movie Theater, and Steampunk Parlor. Remember, all of them will eventually come to Jamaa. I, personally, liked the movie theater idea the most. The den is so cool!

The Beta Party is back! Sadly, the items aren't real betas. Actually, I suppose that's a good thing because then they wouldn't be beta anymore! Go on down to the Beta Party and check it out.

Woohoo! Snow Leopards are back! I'm so happy. Have you seen the new snow leopard video yet? It's so cute! Get your new snow leopard today and prepare for the chilly weather ahead!

And, of course, if you get a membership from now until the fall you can get a pet ferret PLUS a set of ferret den items! I just recently got a membership two weeks ago (something like that) and the pet ferret + den items came with it. I was so happy!

Horned Helmet+Three horned armor

There are two new items I would like to tell you about:

Three horned armor and horn helmets
these are both items that recently came back into stores and they used to be betas, this makes me really sad.

Also, today someone traded me blue vines for my carrot chair, of course I accepted.
I also saw someone with two river race games!  That's right TWO!  I tried trading them but they declined every single time!  Man I want that game!  Anyway, I also got a headdress today, finally!  It's a rare headdress but still.  Anyway, I really hope AJHQ stops bringing back betas, a lot of people worked hard for them, including me!

Spring Bunny pics

As promised here are pictures of my spring bunny

This is me and my adorable gecko hanging out in my den, oddly, as someone else noticed, the flowers of the spring bunny don't show up when you're on carpet (so pretty much in a den)

My spring bunny character card, aren't I adorable?  And I caught my gecko mid eyeball lick lol.  The geckos are so adorable!!!!!

Spring Bunnies!

Hey guys, UnicornChild here

I bet you've heard of the new spring bunnies.  They are special new bunnies that have a flower pattern and leave a trail of flowers when they walk.  You can get one by activating a membership card (the kind you buy at target or walmart) between this month and the month of July.  The bunny you get at first can only be named Spring bunny, but if you get another one using gems (it is like the diamond animals, once you buy one with diamonds you can buy more using gems) you can name it. You also get three cute little carrot themed den items.  I was lucky enough that I had a membership card that I hadn't used yet so I renewed my membership and got a spring bunny!  Yay!  I also got an otter.  Anyway, also in the update are gecko pets, I personally think they are adorable!  AJHQ hints at something new to come soon, the picture depicts a beach scene, I have heard many different ideas for what it might be, a new den, another remodeling of crystal sands, an adventure, even a new land!  I really hope it's a new land!  I've never played animal jam while they were adding new lands so I think it will be exciting if it is a new land.

I will post some pictures to go along with this post soon and reshare it.

Headdresses: are they really worth what we think?

Hey jammers,
I just wanted to make a quick post about headdresses, I feel like their value is over-inflated, they're awesome but I don't think they're worth what most jammers think, I tried trading a bunch of betas for a non rare headdress and every single time they decline, I've tried a non rare long spike, planet walls, a mummy glove and a zios mask all in the same trade but they decline every time.  Also, if you have a headdress I will gladly trade for it, just JAG me, my username is UnicornChild.  I didn't mean to offend anyone, I was just stating my opinion.

Beta trades #1-cami's frog

Okay, so today I was at a pretend prom on animal jam, don't even ask XD, and afterwards the host offered me planet walls, a zios mask, and a robot for my cami's frog.  Naturally I went to look up the value of each item they were offering but when I returned the trade was gone so I asked them to trade again, they did and I accepted but it didn't say that I had gotten the items so I went to my den and recycled some items then told them to trade me again.  I accepted and they were so excited!  I am too, I was looking around and saw that most of the stuff they traded me was really rare!  It may have been an over-trade but I guess they were happy and I am happy so yeah.  anyway YAY!  If you want to trade me just send me a JAG.  I still cannot believe they traded so many betas!

so some of you may have heard of or even received them if you were a member during that time, the monthly member gifts.  I have decided to email AJHQ about why they did away with them.  I am also going to suggest a new armor set, shhhh!  It's top secret!

Springtime in Jamaa, new animal, new quest, and a new set of themed den items

Hello jammers,
Spring has sprung in Jamaa, bringing with it a new quest.  The quest is similar to the Clover Patch quest, but instead of collecting keys to open fifty clover chests, you have to collect one hundred easter eggs.

There is also a new set of themed den items, the theme is space and man they look cool!  It would really look awesome with moon dirt and star wallpaper!

Many of you may have heard of the new line of toys AJ is going to come out with soon called Enchanted Earth.  I am really excited for this!  The image they used looks so awesome!

Also, the new animal, I personally think it looks like some kind of lizard, like a komodo dragon.  I can't wait to see what it is!  Has anyone else noticed how AJHQ has been creating a lot of new animals recently?

Also, about that email other BETA testers were getting from AJHQ with the free five diamond code and, once the game is released to the public, founder's items... it's true!  I got the email.  Hopefully it won't be founder's hats though, I hope it's something unique like a founder's bow and arrows or something like that.

Play Wild BETA mysterious email

I have been hearing from BETA testers getting an email from ajhq giving them a code for five diamonds in regular animal jam, and when the app is released they will also get founder's items too, to distinguish them as BETA testers.  I hope to be getting an email from them soon (I'm a beta tester)
anyway, there's my small update for you guys today
Oh!  Also, the rare item Monday item today is the rare horned helmet available to buy in jam mart clothing.

As most of you may know Play Wild BETA updated a while ago, the accounts were reset, but luckily my username wasn't taken when ajhq let me back into the BETA testing, they have tons of new items including cheese hats (they're so cute!  They make the animal that wears them tiny), spikes,  and much more!
I cannot wait for you guys to be able to play it!!!

Blue Shag carpet!

I just traded a rare pink bow and arrows and rare angel wings for shag carpet!!!
I think that was a serious undertrade but that's what they wanted.  They thanked me for the trade, said it messed with their inventory and such.  But I can't believe I have a blue shag carpet now!  I also got the  beta fountain from the Forgotten Desert.

Clover Patch glitch

Hey guys
I've heard a lot of people have been experiencing a glitch associated with the clover patch adventure.  The glitch is where Patrick's (the koala) speech bubble pops up after you collect all fifty and he congratulates you but when he's done talking to you, you don't get the master key and therefore cannot open the master chest. I too have experienced this after about an hour and a half searching for chests and have emailed AJHQ about it.  They replied saying they would send me items to make up for it, I'll keep you posted on the topic.  They didn't say what the items would be, in fact, they said it would be randomly generated from their algorithm.  Anyways, I'll post about the items I receive when I get them.

Animal jam updates

Hey jammers
Animal Jam updated recently, Jamaa township is now sprinkled with tiny clovers.  A new quest has come too.  You have to collect fifty keys to open various chests throughout the maze and when you get all fifty you get the master key which lets you open the giant chest at the center of the maze.  I have heard that you can get rare spikes from the huge chest!  I've only completed it one time before, I got a candy cane tie and a rare robin hood hat.  Maybe I can try again.

Moon Dirt+updates

Hey guys,
okay so sorry I haven't posted in forever but here goes
today I traded a scarecrow, a pot 'o gems, and rare nerd glasses for moon dirt!!!!
I am so happy!
I am not sure if that was fair for me but oh well! I have moon dirt now!  you can check it out in my den.

Frustration

Okay so the main point of my email to AJHQ was about being taken off of the google plus community right.  They email me back, but the email is all about how they "can't replace scammed items" and about how to keep your "beloved" items safe, nowhere in the reply does it say anything about the google plus community!
I am pretty sure they didn't read the whole email and sent me a computer automated response, maybe they even programmed it to detect certain words in the emails they receive and it uses a pre-typed response instead of people actually reading it and responding with useful information.  This really frustrates me!

Hey guys UnicornChild here,
Today I emailed AJHQ about the whole ordeal with me being taken off of the google plus community.  I also mentioned in my email, the scams that have happened to me.  Hopefully they'll email me back soon.

Here's what I said:

Dear AJHQ,

I was accepted into beta testing for play wild a while ago, but just recently I realized I was no longer receiving emails from the community.  I investigated further and found out that I am no longer a part of the community and when I try to join again using the original invitation to the community it says 'you need an invitation to join this community.'  I asked other play wild jammers if this had happened to them and they said no.  Please help.  Also a while ago I got scammed out of my rare pink fox hat and more recently I got scammed out of my bongo drums which are ,as you know, beta.  I had my bongo drums on trade to see if anyone would trade me other betas for it and then someone offered to trade for it.  When I was looking at the trade request I was so excited because I thought I was getting a tan carpet that I didn't look closely and realize that instead it was brown tile, I accepted the trade but then I instantly realized that I had just been scammed.  I didn't quite catch the username of the scammer but it would be great if in a new update you, in some way, make it easier to distinguish the two so that it's harder to get scammed the same way.  Thanks for considering these things.

HELP!!!!

I'm panicking right now!
I was looking through my emails and found it odd that I wasn't getting any from the Play Wild BETA community, I looked further into this and saw that I was no longer in the group!
I tried to join via the invitation to join from earlier but when I clicked it, it said I had to receive an invitation to join!  Has this happened to anyone else?!
I'm going to share this with a bunch of people from the community

Rare item #2+Non member flying animal ideas

today's rare item Monday item is a rare hat and curly wig this item can be found in jam mart clothing

Also tow new items have migrated back to the shops of jamaa: the clover tie and the clover blanket.  Sounds lucky!  That means the party isn't far off

Also I have a new topic that I would like to discuss:
Flying animals for Non-Members

I think non-members should be able to have a flying animal that they can buy.  I think it's unfair that non-members are excluded from many things and I think that they should at least be able to do all the thing flying animals can do, like The Forgotten Desert.  Some ideas I've thought of or I've heard:

a bat (my idea)- wouldn't it be awesome if you could be a bat and a non-member?  I think this should be a new animal (I know they have this as a pet but still, they had owl pets and then came out with owls didn't they?)

a robin (not my idea, a jammer was discussing the matter with me on animal jam and this was their idea, I forgot who said it but don't you agree?)

parrots (my idea)

seagull (my idea)

Sugar Glider- again, I know they came out with these as pets but wouldn't it be cool to be one

Dove (my idea)


And maybe a new non-member land animal
I have some ideas:

• fennec fox
• kiwi bird?
• squirrel

Possible Scammer - Happynarwhalklein

Oops, I posted too fast again, didn't I? Well, anyways, this is Ghost with a pending possible scammer.
The (possible) scammer's name is happynarwhalklein (as seen below).

Now, she was saying in Jamaa Township "Come to my den for free spike turst trust me!". I went to investigate, of course (although I thought that I might get lucky haha). She then said "buddy me if you turst trust me". I did so I wouldn't get locked out. Then, she says this.

"turst me if you want to play"

I don't know if she thought that this was some sort of game, but it definitely wasn't! Some jammers decided to trust her and traded (she had music on her list). They didn't get scammed.

I accused her of scamming and this was her response:

Later on, I asked her why she was trying to give away her items.

Then she said that she was quitting.

(I am the otter) She is trying to give proof, so I asked her why she did it this way by trading people.

"I like doing this" was her response. Fishy, eh? No, I didn't say that just because I'm an otter!! It was pretty punny, however. Hehe..

I then said that I was leaving. She said that she hopes to see me soon.

A few minutes later after constant questions and answers about scamming, I told her to make this a regular giveaway. She agreed to it and buddied me back (I unbuddied her). She then locked me out of her den. 

(I didn't get an actual picture of her locking me out but special thanks to hijab2 for the help)

That is, sadly, all the proof I have. I think that she is a scammer. 

Shoutouts to my friends hijab2 and Tinvrag! They helped me tremendously.

SCAMMED AGAIN!

one time a long time ago I got scammed out of my rare pink fox hat.
This time someone scammed me out of my bongo drums (beta)!
They sent a trade request and I didn't look closer before I traded so I thought I was getting tan carpet (which is beta too), but instead I got brown tile (not beta)!
Sadly i don't remember the person's username
please review your trades better before you agree on anything so you don't get scammed like I did.

commonly mistaken items:
many people mistake brown tile for tan carpet, the difference is that tan carpet is a non-member item, brown tile is a member item
people mistake the milky tiara for the one you can buy in stores, the difference is the color of the gems
people also mistake the beta green tiara for the one you can buy in stores, the difference is the color of the gems

The Forgotten Desert+Mail time and more updates from jamaa

Hey guys
today I would like to talk about The Forgotten Desert quest

As of right now The Forgotten Desert is a member adventure
I've heard many things about it
mostly about the prizes
I've heard you can get anything from a golden tiara to red brick walls, headdresses, or long spikes
The way you can earn the good prizes is if you disregard the gem chests you see on the adventure, don't open them.  Collect the gems and when you open one of the prize chests there is a good chance you'll get a really good prize.
One time I got bongo drums (they're beta)
I'm not sure how good a cash register is on animal jam but I think I got that as a prize in the forgotten desert too.
The purple shards are extremely hard to get, sometimes it's best to just search for the easier ones, especially if you don't have four other players on the quest with you because it's only possible if three other players are helping.  One time I got three purple shards before the time ran out.

There was also a movement in jamaa township, I'm not sure what it was officially called but I like to call it the green movement.  A ton of people turned their animal green and hopped to show how they cared about equal rights for all jammers regardless of the fact that they do or don't have a membership.  I joined in too.

It's too bad you can only buy them in the diamond shop...

Snow leopards are going extinct in jamaa!
Sadly I don't have enough diamonds to buy one before they go extinct in two weeks.

Stone swords, 

I heard a while ago about these swords when they were unreleased and how there were only a few in the whole game, now that they came out the value has drastically decreased.  They used to be worth A LOT!

They do look cool though.

Play Wild BETA update?

I heard that Play wild beta will be updating soon?
And that the accounts will be reset?

When they say reset do they mean take everything off of our accounts?  I sure hope not

Hey guys!
This is my first blog post.
I guess I'll introduce myself then

Hi, I'm UnicornChild, more popularly (not so popularly XD) known as MC Spirit Wolf (on my youtube and DeviantART).  You can call me UnicornChild, Unicorn, Wolfey, MC Spirit Wolf, Spirit Wolf or pretty much anything else that may sound cool lol.  I love animal jam and I can't wait to start my animal jam blog.  I finally got a membership and am excited to explore the many great features that come with being a member.  My favorite color is Blue.  Series that I like/LOVE: Gregor the Overlander, Wings of Fire, Survivors, Warriors, and Wolves of the Beyond.  I also got into beta testing for animal jam play wild beta, so I should be posting pictures of that in the not-to-distant future.

My favorite animal on animal jam are the arctic wolf, the wolf, the hyena and the owl.
Well, that's about it for now, I hope to post again soon.
